Midterm #6

Animated .gif

Here in the first part of my midterm I had the objective of bettering my understanding of using layers.  The text and the picture of the penguin are two seperate layers.  In second part of this midterm my objective was to create an animated image in .gif.  Using the program Gimp I created different layers with white fill type properties.  I added my desired rotating text (which is my name) to each separate layer.  Using the "rotate tool" I then would rotate the text clockwise, increasing the degrees of rotation on each newly added layer.  I then proceeded to affix the texts to each layer.  I then exported the image into .gif format and choose "save as animation".  This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
