Midterm #5 Progress Screenshot
In this midterm I had exported this single image into two formats. One being a progressive .jpg and the other an interlaced .png. As I inserted the picture into this blog and observed them load through a terribly slow Boston city wireless Comcast network, they had two different loading characteristics. The progressive .jpg loaded onto the page in a horizontal fashion from top down, one pixel line at a time become observable. However the the .png interlaced loaded onto my screen the whole image appeared immediately only in the distorted fashion. After a few moments the .png interlaced image did become fully enhanced. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.
